Portuguese side Portimonense have signed Ghanaian youngster Edward Sarpong on a permanent deal, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The hugely talented 19-year-old joins from Ghana's Unistar Academy.
Sarpong was on the radar of Spanish outfit Getafe but the Portuguese won the race for his signature after completing his deal on transfer deadline day.
The capture of the highly-rated left-back will serve as a real boost to Ghana's Under-20 team ahead of international qualifiers this year.

Ernest Kuffuor, the player's representative, played a key role in securing the deal for the talented youngster.
The Ghanaian teen is expected to continue with his development at the ambitious European side to earn a national team call-up in future.
