“Denkyem” donates soccer kits to youth in Tema Metropolis

Denkyem Charitable Foundation a non governmental organization based in Tema, Ghana, on behalf of Denkyem Charitable Foundation (USA),, and Denkyem sports Academy (USA), last week Saturday donated soccer kits comprising of boots, hoses, shin guards, jerseys, soccer balls, basketballs and used clothing, etc. to the youth in the Tema Metropolis.

The youth, are being given these kits to enable them master the art of soccer, which is Denkyem’s primary objective, but nonetheless secondary sports, such as basketball , track and field, net ball, handball ,softball and volleyball are key areas the organization mentioned above takes very seriously, because of the new priceless amount of youth engagements in these fields, especially soccer and basketball, which has been identified as a number one unifier, cutting across all cultures and races, as a universal language and a best tool to instill character among them.

It’s also meant to create a future for the youth and to eradicate their indulgence in social vices like armed robbery, prostitution and drug abuse etc.

Since its inception, the organization has been supporting the Tema metropolis and beyond in the area of sports by providing financial, material (kits), food and personnel (coaching) to the communities and to both government and private schools.

Soccer/Football and basketball tournaments are also organized annually by “Denkyem” where the youth in the communities comprising of both male and female come together to compete for a trophy and to fraternize.

Some of the disciplines that the organization has supported is soccer, basketball, athletics, netball etc. and educational materials such as computers, books, pens, pencils etc. are also distributed to children in the community.

In partnership with Fountain Of Life Church, Life Center Academy and Denkyem sports USA, and spearheaded by; Life Center Academy athletes are also being recruited from Ghana to the USA on free scholarships, with full boarding and accommodation provided;

Students with some decent fanatical capabilities are also given significant discounts in scholarships to help encourage cultural diversity and spiritual counseling for athletes needing such services.

After the presentation, Ato Yanney Jnr, vice president for Denkyem Ghana, expressed his sincere gratitude to,, Denkyem Charitable foundation ,Denkyem Sports Academy USA , Fountain of Life Church & Life Center Academy USA and king Global Ventures Inc. USA/GH, after which the youth then engaged each other to display their skills in a soccer game; a program comprising of other sports like basketball, athletics etc. which has been initiated by the organization for the communities.
