Agona Swedru, Sept 14, GNA - Mr Charles Obeng-Inkoom, Member of Parliament (MP) has assured his constituents that he would continue to bring more developments to the constituency to better their lot when re-elected as their MP in the 2016 elections.
Mr. Obeng-Inkoom gave the assurance at the constituency office at Agona Swedru when he submitted his nomination forms to contest the upcoming parliamentary primary of the party.
He is the sole candidate to contest the primary.
Mr Obeng-Inkoom said the ecstasy that characterized his submission indicate that he had the support of the electorate in the constituency, and that he wass hopeful of winning the Agona West MP seat in the 2016 elections
He urged the entire party members and supporters to carry out their campaigns for him devoid of insults and personal attacks.
The MP urged them to stand solidly behind him as they did in the 2012 elections, so that collectively they could hard to win the elections.
Receiving the forms, Mr. Emmanuel Korley, Agona West Constituency NDC Secretary, disclosed that Mr Obeng-Inkoom was the only member who had expressed his desire to contest the primary, and since he was the sole candidate, he would be automatically declared unopposed.
Mr. Samuel Mpota, the Constituency Chairman, said even though the MP was the only aspirant during the close of nominations, the entire members should continue to comport themselves in accordance with the rules and regulations of the party , and see themselves as one people with a common destiny.
Mr Mpota said elections were won with numbers, and so they should continue to propagate the good works of the NDC, for more people to join and come out in their numbers and vote for the party.
