A New Dawn On The African Soil

A New Dawn On The African Soil
13.09.2015 LISTEN

We have been taught how this land use to be. How many great men have walked this continent. The mother of civilization. The continent with the highest resources yet we are the poorest. Where did we go wrong? What is becoming of Africa? Should we just sit and hear them talk about heroes of Africa? The older generation believes they have done their part. But the question is, why did they wait too long till matters became worse?

Will you fold your arms and lament to the next generation of your failure too?Let me tell you something, no one can stop us now from cleansing the Augean stable and navigating the ship of Africa from Bermuda Triangle. We shall demonstrate a diaphanous commitment to pulverize the monster of corruption by not just vacuous sloganeering as it was in the past, but fighting it with all we have.

We have met a continent in a state of economic phlebotomy, social anomie, moral putrescence? Are we supposed to have, against this background, begin to take precipitate steps bordering on the harum sacrum just to satiate the dramatic proclivities of those who lightly cogitate that Africa is a economical cinematography? No no no.

My generation, your generation, our generation would not fail the next generation. We won't pass to them a continent of economic failure, corruption, hunger and the rest. We won't sit and let our history determine our destiny. We can't let the circumstances define us, refine us, confine us, outshine us or leave it all behind us. The choice is always ours.

The hippo generation has failed but should we allow it affect the cheetahs generation? Nay!!! The Africa we know and believe in should and must shine and laugh for she will be corrupt free, hinger free and peaceful. But we can't achieve all these by staying mute or just talking the walk. We have to walk the the talk. Have you?

If you haven't, let me tell you others have. A great number of youth from both west and east Africa have started. They are transforming the the Africa of the hippos to the Africa of better tomorrow. They have started somewhere and so should you. As the Chinese philosopher Lao-tzu said: “A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.” Just start with a step and you would walk a million steps.

A new dawn is rising and it's a task upon every youth of AFRICA to be part of the change we want to see.
