People Insulted Me Because Of My Song “Od3 -- Kooko

Kooko, the Sunyani based artiste who is making waves with his controversial song; “od3″ says the song has changed his life so far.

“I did not have control of the song because it leaked even before I could finish work on it. But a lot has changed since that song”, he says.

Kooko, known outside showbiz as KwameNana Gyabaa, recounts in an interview with rawgist.com’s Bernard Buachi how his song earned him insults from a section of the public including close friends and DJs.

“Many DJs wouldn’t play the song because they said it was vulgar and stupid but the ghetto boys accepted it and one DJ Castiva played it on his show. Since then, I have had platforms to perform and I am gaining popularity along with my song”.

“Now many people including Ghanaians abroad walk up to me and congratulate me for promoting “Bono language”.

The song od3 brought the underground artiste to the limelight, but he admits he is having challenges promoting the song and will be happy to have a producer or someone to invest in his music.

The Kooko hails from Dormaa Ahenkro and is and read Building Technology at the Takoradi Polytechnic following his Senior Secondary School education at Ghana Secondary School, Koforidua.
