A Letter To Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency (AKC) NPP Executives

A Letter To Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency AKC NPP Executives
24.06.2015 LISTEN

Dear executives,
With all due respect I greet and salute you from my humble abode. I acknowledge all your hard works and strenous efforts as leaders since you took power almost some 2 years ago.

Honourable executives, it is clear that the entire NPP in Ghana have for recent times battled a lot of challenges as a party and i am particularly appreciative of the way and manner the leadership led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo have handled matters by the strategic leadership expertise, so you and i can boldy say for now that; indeed, all have passed.

We have proved to the world (our derractors) that, unlike their perceptions, the NPP is ever ready to take up the mantle of leadership in Ghana.

Dear reader, like what the entire party have witnessed, the Atwima Kwanwoma branch of the NPP is no exemption. In reality, our challenges as a party started long time before the recent one in our national levels. But one will be wondering why our's as a constituency have lasted more than it should?

To me, it is high time we stood up as people and let the "bygone be bygone". We cannot afford to harm the NPP continually.

I remember that faithful Saturday when you were elected into your respective offices as constituency leaders, most of your promises was to ensure that we can increase the votes of NPP in Atwima Kwanwoma in the 2016 elections and this same message was the anchor of your campaigns.

How good it was to have such people vying for leaderships in our dear party?

So we rewarded you as delegates by voting for you.
Of late, i have followed with eagle eyes and ears, the happenings in Atwima Kwanwoma NPP and i must confess, some of them are not a tasty ingredient to the soup of 2016.

On the grounds all happenings in the constituency has been the "blame game syndrome" where we have been pointing hands at eachother for either a wrong or right doings. But is that important at all?

To some extent, things were seemingly hell but to my personal understanding, those were lack of orientation. Some called it divisions and disunity but i called them temporal chellenges.

In politics, those incoherence are likely to happen but they are always for short term spannings.

After a personal checks and findings from some of the polling station executives and even some constituency executives, I was convinced that, those things were happening for a single reason. That is the parliamentary primaries. Yes, a political contest may be that rudy and i wasn't surprised at all. The fear of the unknown was hunting us especially those of us who took a definite stand of working solely in the interest of a candidate. We couldn't afford the pain of zeroing our energies and resources.

God be so good, all is over and now we have a common NPP and a parliamentary aspirant. Our promises to ensure increase in the votes of NPP in AKC starts now.

Likewise you, i made the same promise to myself and people that I will work tirelessly to bring Nana Addo and the NPP to POWER come 2016 when i was also vying for my electoral area coordinatorship Position. A promise I believe we can't afford to dishonour.

The good people of Atwima Kwanwoma cannot trust us again if we watch aloof and victory 2016 is not realized. Ghanaians will not be happy with us if we continue to inwardly fail them.

Posterity will not forgive us,if we fail to rescue Ghana from the destroyers (NDC).

Not to point hands at anybody, i start by defaulting us all for we all might have contributed in one way or the other. But like our elders say, "there is no spitting after vomiting" and so i call on all the constituency executives to ensure peace and harmony in AKC.

You and I may have been unlucky to have a prefered or choice of candidate as parliamentary aspirant but we must understand one thing about democracy. Democracy is all about the decision of the majority. The majority of the delegates in AKC have spoken and i believe as NPP members must obey and work all we can to win power for both the P.C and NPP in 2016.

Nana Addo will not be happy if we loose a single of the seats we hold in parliament even when he's elected as president in our next elections. In every democratic dispense, MP's are anchors of the president and we must work hard to add up more seats and not the opposite.

We can't afford to disappoint the good people of Ghana. You and I have our respective offices at stake, what shall we tell our people again when we want to seek re-election after we fail to deliever what we earlier promised? I know the ground isn't soft but with God on our side, the impossible it possible.

The time is now...it is better late than never (akyea na emmue, akyene abebuo nyinaa).

Victory 2016 is sure. Still the battle remains the Lord's.

Long live AKC!
Long live NPP!!
Long live Ghana!!!.
Thank you.
Richard Sarpong.
