Zabzugu (N/R), June 5, GNA - Mr Issifu Alidu Laa-Bandow, Zabzugu District Chief Executive, has inaugurated the Board of Governors of Zabzugu Senior High School (ZABSEC) with a call on members to assume full management and responsibility of the school.
'I wish to urge you all to build upon the achievements of the old board and use your inspiration to improve upon the school structures,' he said.
Mr Laa-Bandow asked stakeholders to continue lending their support to the new board to ensure that the school grows from strength to strength, adding that the inauguration was in conformity with acts and regulations of Ghana Education Service.
'I like to encourage the new board to be committed to the cause of the activities of the school to make it a centre of excellence.
'I truly believe we have a group with vast experiences, intellectual capabilities and above all sense of judgement that is ready, willing and able to do just that.'
He said the District Assembly would strive to solve the acute water problem facing the school, and provide additional classrooms as well as a dining hall complex.
Alhaji Mohammed Haroon, Northern Regional Director of Education, took the newly reconstituted board members through their functions, which includes given approval to terminal, annual budgets and major projects.
Alhaji Mohammed Shamrock, the new Chairman promised to drive the development agenda of the school.
