Greater Accra Regional Minister, Nii Laryea Afotey-Agbo has been hospitalised following a serious accident he was involved in at Tema in the region.
The accident occurred at Community 18 Junction on the Abattoire Road around 8:30 pm Tuesday, according to Ad.
Adom News' Kofi Assan, who was at the scene of the accident reported that the minister was on his way to inspect road construction works on the Spintex Road when an unregistered Toyota C amry collided with his vehicle.
The Toyota Camry vehicle with four occupants, all men, somersaulted several times after colliding with the government vehicle.
The head-on collision was said to have damaged the Minister's 4x4 vehicle beyond repair.
'Lion' as he is popularly known was sent to the hospital after injuring his leg. The young men in the Toyota Camry vehicle were also hospitalised together with the policeman who was travelling with the minister.
The Tema police who drove to the scene to control traffic after the accident have also started investigations into it.
