Boye Kenyenso, older brother of Peter Keyenso the deceased Nkwanta South DCE, could not contain his shock after news of his brother's death reached him, and succumbed to death himself last night.
Joy News' Volta Region Correspondent, Mawuli Yuvi Agbi, reports that Boye Kenyenso fell unconscious on Friday after he was told of his brother's passing. He later died at the St Joseph Hospital, Nkwanta in the Volta Region.
The Nkwanta South District Chief Executive, Peter Kojo Kenyenso was shot in front of his house on Monday night. It remains unclear what could have led to the shooting incident.
Because Boye Kenyenso resided in a remote location in their hometown, Keri, he was only informed on Friday about the shocking death of his younger brother by a nephew, Kingsley Kenyenso.
He collapsed upon hearing the news and was rushed to the hospital. Nurses on duty detected that his blood pressure was very high.
However the family was told that in the process of controlling his blood pressure, Boye passed on.
Meanwhile, police has beefed up security in the Nkwanta South district, as investigations continue into the murder nof the DCE.
Nine suspects have been picked up as the Homicide Unit of the Police CID searches for the shells of the gun used.
Director of Police Public Affairs, DCOP Ampah Benning tells Joy News, patrols have been intensified in the District.
