Police caution recruitment applicants against paying money to secure jobs

The Ghana Police Service has cautioned applicants in its ongoing 2025/2026 recruitment exercise not to pay money to anyone claiming to facilitate their enlistment into the Service.

The caution comes at a time when successful applicants are being invited in batches to designated centres across the country for document validation.

According to the Police Service, the validation exercise is meant to verify applicants' academic certificates, examination results and other documents submitted during the initial stage of the recruitment process before recruitment progresses.

"We urge all applicants to disregard any misinformation on the recruitment exercise and also refrain from paying monies to any person or persons under the guise of facilitating their recruitment," the Police Service said in a press release issued on Saturday, August 1.

The Service said the first batch of successful applicants had already been invited and were undergoing the validation process.

It explained that applicants who successfully completed the medical examination and were declared medically fit but had not yet been invited for validation should remain calm, as they are still in the recruitment pool for subsequent batches.

"All other applicants who successfully completed the medical examination and have been declared medically fit but have not been invited for validation are in the recruitment pool for consideration in subsequent batches," the statement noted.

The Police Service further assured applicants that the recruitment exercise would continue in batches until 2028 in line with its recruitment schedule.
