A portion of the abandon hospital.
The Municipal Chief Executive for Wiawso Municipality in the Western Region, Lawrence Ackaah Santana, has incurred the wrath of Sefwi Asawinso youth over comments he made about an abandoned hospital in the town.
Mr Ackaah Santana on a local radio station, de beat FM, said the project in the area had been abandoned because the municipal assembly cannot trace any documents on the hospital.
Speaking to the DAILY GUIDE , spokesperson for the group, Kwabena Badu Amoako Atta, described the MCE as incompetent and as someone who is only taking the people of Asawinso for granted.
According to him, 'The MP for the area and Western Regional Minister, Paul Evans Aidoo, asked the MCE to ensure the completion of the project. Why is it that similar projects at Sefwi Nsawora and Adabokron have been completed and that of Asawinso has been abandoned with the excuse that there is no document?' he queried.
The group also cautioned that if the hospital is not completed before 2016, they would campaign and vote against the incumbent MP, Paul Evans Aidoo, whom they described as a liability to the constituency.
