
Renowned video director, GYO Gyimah, CEO of Phamous Media Group and Gerald O Gyimah have lost their dad, Nana Gyimah Kesse I, known in private life as Mr. Charles Allen Gyimah.
He passed away on Saturday June 21, 2014. He was born in 1942.
He was a former Chief of Jamasi in the Asante Region of Ghana. Mr. Charles Allen Gyimah, a former Financial Controller of the Kumasi Asante Kotoko Football Club under the Bawuah Administration, was key in revolutionizing movie-making in Ghana.
He was the first to introduce video to Ghana in the early 1980's. He produced the first video movie with a world-class company and was the owner of the popular cinema chain, Video City, across the country.
