Anyinasuso (Ash), April 12, GNA - Anyinasuso Bayern Munich, a third division football club has been officially inaugurated at Anyinasuso near Tepa in the Ahafo-Ano North district.
Speaking at the ceremony, Nana Gyau Baffour, the chief of Anyinasuso, advised the management, players and supporters of the club to make discipline their main priority to ensure that they make an impact in the soccer scene.
He pledged the support of the traditional council for the growth of the team and urged them to stay away from any divisive tendency that will retard the progress and development of the club.
Mr Joseph Yaw Opoku, the District Police Commander in an address read for him said apart from the entertainment aspect of soccer, it is a sport that aims at promoting good relations among people, towns and communities and should be taken seriously.
He therefore advised the team to disassociate it from rowdyism, hooliganism and all forms of violence before, during and after matches. He advised the playing body of the club and their supporters to refrain from the habit of indiscriminate and casual sex since the deadly HIV/AIDS can shorten their lives and bring to an end their hopes and aspirations.
Mr Opoku appealed to them to be law-abiding and co-operate with the police to fight crimes in the district so that there will be peace for every citizen to go about his or her normal duties. In a friendly football match, Anyinasuso Bayern Munich beat their counterpart, Kyekyewere Stars 1-0 from a beautiful goal scored by Yaw Ansah in the 21st minute.
