Ghanaian youngster Eugene Ansah has expressed delighted with his first career silverware after lifting the Belgian Cup trophy with KSC Lokeren on Saturday night.
The former Liberty Professionals academy graduate, 19, was in the Lokeren team that posted a memorable 1-0 win over Zulte-Waregem to emerge champions.
“It is an exciting moment for me as a young footballer to win this Cup and also have the opportunity to play in Europe next season,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.
Though Ansah was not in action for Lokeren in yesterday's victory, but he was influential in their campaign en route to the final as he scored the match-winning penalty in the semi-finals against KV Oostende.
“Scoring in the semi-finals was great and its good to be identified with the success. I hope this opens more gates of success in my career.”
The youngster could be vital for the 2015 Ghana U20 squad as he falls under the category.
