The Local Black Stars have handed Asante Kotoko striker Seidu Bancey  a late call up to the  squad for next year's CHAN in South Africa.

Bancey has scored an impressive seven goals in eight matches since a return from injury and has led Kotoko to open a seven point lead at the top of the Ghana Premier league.

The team will host fellow CHAN campaigners Mali in a friendly game on Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium after which  they will break for the Christmas holidays.

Final camping of the team after the naming of the 23 -man squad will take place in Namibia.

Ghana is drawn in Group C alongside Libya, Ethiopia and Congo for the 16-nation tournament scheduled for January 11-February 1, 2014.
