Sefwi Wiawso(w/r)--The final funeral rites of the late Paramount Chief of Sefwi Wiawso, Nana Nkuah Okumdom, the second will be held on December 13 this year.
Nana Kwaku Nkuah, chairman of the Okumdom funeral planning committee and chief of Bosomoiso announced this at the celebration of the one week observation ceremony held for the deceased at the okogyeabour palace at Sefwi Wiawso.
The ceremony attracted thousands of mourners including Dr. Kwaku Afriyie, a medical practitioner of the Greenshield Hospital in Sefwi Wiawso, Hon. Lawrence A. Santana, District chief executive for Sefwi Wiawso , Mr Thomas Nyarko-Danquah, Human and Community Relations manager of Chirano Gold Mines Limited, chiefs, queen mothers, religious organistions and a large police presence ensure law and order and directed traffic.
Nana Nkuah, again announced that a ban has been placed on all funeral celebration within all Sefwi lands until the final funeral rites are over on Dec. 13.
