Methodist Ministers' Spouses confab opens

The Seventh Biennial Connexional Conference and Retreat of the Methodist Ministers' Spouses Association, aimed at seeking views and strategies for the improvement of the association and development of the  church, is being held at Effiduase in the Ashanti Region.

The five-day conference with the theme: 'Witnessing to Christ: The Role of the Minister's Spouse' is also aimed at promoting evangelism for the church and peace in the country.

The Rt. Rev. Moses Quayson, Diocesean Bishop of the Effiduase Methodist Church, said the society was now full of greedy people who craved for wealth through foul means; there was cheating, theft of state funds by some people in authority, sexual immorality, indecent dressing and false prophets, among others.

Mrs Comfort Asante, President of the Ministers' Spouses Association, said the members had a great responsibility as spouses of ministers.
