Ebusua Dwarfs goalkeeper Patrick Antwi could quit the club after fans abused him during a friendly against Mamelodi Sundowns.
Antwi walked off the pitch in protest to constant boos and jeers during the 2-0 defeat against the South African powerhouse on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old was mocked for conceding what some supporters felt was a cheap goal, prompting the ex-Liberty Professionals shot-stopper to storm off the pitch in protest.
GHANAsoccernet.com sources understand that the former Ghana number two goalkeeper has informed close friends that the move could force him to leave the club.
Antwi is expected to be the club's number goalkeeper this season following the imminent departure of Foli Adade.
Adade's contract has run out and has confirmed he will not renew the deal, paving way for his number to take over the mantle.
But the latest episode could likl force the glovesman to re-think his position in the club ahead of the new soccer season.
