Sekondi, Dec 12, GNA- Rear Admiral John Gbenah, Chief of Naval Staff, on Friday, said transport and residential accommodation problems facing Naval personnel would be solved soon.
He gave the assurance at a social interaction organized by the Western Naval Command for Officers and Men of the Command and their families in Sekondi.
Rear Admiral Gbenah said many naval personnel are not living in barracks and this poses problems for the personnel and the Navy.
He commended them for giving out their best despite constraints and urged them to continue to safeguard the security of the state.
Commodore C. B. Puplampu, Flag Officer Commanding Western Naval Command, said the year has been a challenging one in which the professional capabilities, competence and discipline were put to test.
He commended the personnel of the Command for the speed and the professional manner with which they undertook the evacuation of Ghanaians from Liberia.
The social interaction is popularly known as the West Africa Soldiers Social Activity (WASSA).
