The National Democratic Congress's (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Ablekuma Central, Ras Mubarak has challenged the former MP for Asokwa, Maxwell Kofi Jumah to proceed to court if he indeed has evidence to show that he (Ras Mubarak) is conniving with Electoral Commission (EC) officials to help President Mahama.
Maxwell Kofi Jumah has accused Ras Mubarak of conniving with some officials of the Electoral Commission to print new pink sheets to support President Mahama's case at theSupreme Court.
In an interview with Citi News Ras Mubarak stated that Maxwell Kofi Jumah's allegation against the NDC is baseless.
He indicated that they ought to prove it beyond reasonable doubt in the court of law since the court room is a place to tender in any evidence of wrongdoing.
He noted “so if the NPP or its surrogate believes that I have in anyway done something that is wrong they should tender it in as evidence in court.”
According to him “what is striking is that, this is coming from a gentleman who has no credibility even within his own party.”
He further stated that “if he (Maxwell Kofi Jumah) could accuse the former President of giving the Mayor of Kumasi to someone who is undeserving then he is not someone who is not credible.”
According to him Maxwell Kofi Jumah “has lost respect within his own party so I am not surprised.”
“He is one that I really and truly would not want to extend energy and time discussing. The NDC is very busy the government is busy working towards advancing the better Ghana agenda” he added.
Meanwhile the EC has stated that Maxwell Kofi Jumah's allegations should be ignored since the EC cannot reprint pink sheets that are already in the custody of the political parties.
Ras Mubarak did not confirm or deny the allegation.

I BELIEVE IN KOFI JUMAS FINDINGS BECAUSE NDC THINK THEY CAN MAKE COPIES OF THE PINK SHEETS TO PRESENT IN COURT TO MAKE IT APPEAR THAT THE ONE HELD BY NPP IS FAKE.THAT IS WHY THEY ARE SAYING THAT NPP HAS NO EVIDENCE.HOW CAN THE EC SAY THAT REPLICA SHEETS CAN NOT BE PRINTED?WHAT IS IN THIS WORLD THAT CAN"T BE DONE.NPP SHOULD IMPRESS ON THE COURT FORCE THE EC TO BRING ALL THE PINK SHEETS IN THEIR CUSTODY BEFORE GIVING OUT THEIR EVIDENCE ELSE THE NDC WOULD CONTERMINATE THEIR EVIDENCE.
