THE FULFILMENT OF THE VISION OF DANIEL (Part 3) - THE LITTLEHORN FROM THE THREE PLUCKED UP HORNS

DANIEL 7:8 “I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things”.

In his consideration, Daniel found out that a king would come out from among the kings, who have eyes like the eyes of man, and would plucked up three kings by their roots. This means, the three dynasties (Horns) would yield their power (traditional polity and customs) to the little king with eyes, unlike the first seven kings, who ruled their dynasties (kingdoms) with the power of the traditions and customs of the empire. According to Daniel, the little horn had eyes like the eyes of man and a mouth speaking great and abominable things against the Most High and also make war with the Saints and overcome them. What are the significance of these eyes and mouth?

From Daniel 7:20-21 “And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them”. The saints here represent the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Ekklesia. The eye is the light of every man's body, which is the spirit of man; and the mouth that speaks abominable words against the Most High is the message that it carries.

Luke 11:34 - 35 says “The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single; thy whole body is also full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. 35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. 36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light as when the bright shinning of the candle doth give thee light”.

The light in question here is the spirit of man, which is the light of God that searches through the inward parts of his belly (Proverbs 20:27). He who has a good spirit walks in the light of God, and he who has an evil spirit walks in darkness. However, since the horn had eyes like man's eyes and a mouth to speak great (abominable) words against the Most High and made war against the Saints, it signifies that, the spirit of this king WOULD BE LIKE the spirit of man [- God's light (His Word) to show man His ways] BUT WOULD NOT BE the spirit of man. It is the eyes that determines the type of message one carries. If the eye is single the message will be full of light, but if the eye is evil, the message will be full of darkness.

Since the mouth speaks great and abominable words, it means, the king would carry a form of message which would change the polity of the empire and make the Church of Jesus Christ (Yahushua Messiah) desolate by derailing the saints from their original faith. This would make the Church fall into Apostasy, because the authority of the king over the church, would change the existing church and make it be like the Church of God in the Roman kingdom. This church would exalt itself against God and wear out the saints. Note, “…. eyes like the eyes of man”.

This happened at the reigning period of Emperor Constantine. It was through him Christianity was rooted in the Roman Empire, - the Byzantine Christianity, which became the Roman Universal Church. Inasmuch as his came out from the ten horns (kings), and his Empire was the last of the four bests (four Empires) seen in Daniel's vision, his legacy, Christian polity, dominated the entire Roman Empire; and will remain untill the Ancient of Days (the Stone) will sit with His judgement, then his dominion will be taken away, to consume and to destroy unto the end.

Daniel 7:25-27 “And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. 26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. 27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him".

The prophet Daniel speaks of a “little horn,” which “shall speak great words against the Most High … and think to change times and laws.” This little horn is the great religious authority that attempted to superimpose its own view of dates and celebrations, on an unsuspecting world, in place of God's plain instruction. The Hebrew word translated “change” means to “transform, alter or set.” The word translated “times” means “appointed occasions, seasons or times.” The Hebrew word translated “laws” means “decrees or laws of God.” When put together, this phrase refers to an authority that attempts to “transform appointed occasions and seasons within the Law of God.” God's instructions have been replaced with religious traditions of men.

He would cunningly lead the saints to fall away from the truth of God's word and would think to change times and laws. In fact, the emperors authority over the Church, and the empire becoming Christianized, infiltrated the original Church with paganism. All the Laws, statutes, precepts and commandments of God to His people, the Church, were forbidden by the Roman Universal Church and a demarcation was drawn to eliminate all the Jews and their practices from the church and their land. The following “creed” is an extract from a church at Constantinople at the same period:

“I, renounce all customs, rites, legalisms, unleavened breads and sacrifices of lambs of the Hebrews, and all other feasts of the Hebrews, sacrifices, prayers, aspersions, purifications, sanctifications and propitiations and fasts, and new moons, and Sabbaths, and superstitions, and hymns and chants and observances and Synagogues, and the food and drink of the Hebrews; in one word, I renounce everything Jewish, every law, rite and custom and if afterwards I shall wish to deny and return to Jewish superstition, or shall be found eating with the Jews, or feasting with them, or secretly conversing and condemning the Christian religion instead of openly confuting them and condemning their vain faith, then let the trembling of Gehazi cleave to me, as well as the legal punishments to which I acknowledge myself liable. And may I be anathema in the world to come, and may my soul be set down with Satan and the devils”.

Such a harsh declaration of a believer was not seen and heard during the Apostolic era, but the believers were forced to do so. According to the Vision “he shall think to change times and Laws”. The set time of God as of One DAY was changed from the night being 6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. and the day 6:00a.m. – 6:00 p.m., unto the day starting from the midnight 12:00 a.m. to midnight 12:00 a.m. of the following day; and the laws of God were also modified to suit their traditions and customs. Pagan names were giving to the days of the week and the months of the year. The first month Nisan was displaced to the fourth month and Janus (January) a Roman goddess and it's purification month February was introduced as the first two months shifting March the 12th month of the Jewish calendar to the third.

Passover was changed to Easter (an ancient Anglo-Saxon goddess, Eastre or Eostre); and December, the tenth month of the Roman calendar became the twelfth month with 25th – 26th the festival day for the Sun god being reserved as Christmas day (the birthday of Jesus). The assumption of Papal Supremacy and Infallibility, which belongs only to God, was instituted to open and shut heaven, and be higher than all the kings of the earth and have the right to determine doctrine, go beyond God in pretending to loose the whole nations from their oath of allegiance to their kings, when such kings do not please them!. Bishops were giving the power to remit sins. They also go against God in giving certificate of indulgences for sins remitted. An “Indulgence” is a declaration by the church authorities that those who say certain prayers or do good deeds will have some or all of their punishment in purgatory remitted. It was frequently sold and a certificate issued.

The Monotheistic nature of God (Unique God) was changed to a Trinitarianism, where the Holy was personified as a separate entity from the father and the son. In addition to these, they introduced the worship of Mary, images, statutes, and saints; when in the commandments, it is written “Behold Israel, the Lord your God is One, have no other God beside me and don't make any image in heaven or on earth for yourself and worship”. Many atrocities were done to the laws of God in order to suit their own traditions and customs interest. Remember Galatians 1:8-9 “But though we, or an angel from Heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again. If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed”. Changing the doctrine of the Messiah will incur the wrath of God upon the Church.

Remember, Paul said, the household of God (the Church) is “built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets [not Synods, Councils, and bishops], Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone,” (Ephesians 2:20). There was absolutely no authorization to change the framework of worship outside of Jesus Christ's own reflection of worship exemplified by His life, habits, and customs (1 Peter 2:21; 1 John 2:6).

John also wrote in 2John 9-11 “Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. The doctrine of Christ is the sure foundation of our Faith and salvation but not the Creeds written by the Council at Nicaea in 325AD. Transgressing and abiding not in the doctrine of Christ disqualifies a person from having God as his Father. The Church therefore fell away from God, when the Emperor Constantine together with the 318 Bishops met at the Council of Nicaea to transgress the doctrine of Christ by writing a false doctrine for the Church.This is the little horn with eyes like the eyes of man, which came up from the three horns (kings or dynasties), which was plucked up by their roots. His polity became the foundational polity for the rest of the Emperors that came after him.
