NAIROBI, Kenya, December 4, 2012/African Press Organization (APO)/ -- The Italian Embassy in Nairobi will hold a concert this evening by Mario Biondi, one of the best-loved soul voices on the international musical panorama. The proceeds will go to an Italian Cooperation education project for the construction of a primary school for the poorest children of the coastal city of Malindi in Kenya.
Every year the Embassy offers the local people a concert by a renowned Italian musician, and the audiences get larger and larger. In 2011 approximately 4000 people gathered in Uhuru Park to listen to the orchestra conducted by Riccardo Muti, and for the classical concert “Italy for Turkana” the audience numbered over 600.
