Begoro, Sept. 30, GNA- The School Management Committee (SMC) and the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of the Osino L/A Primary School have established a two-hectare cocoa farm to generate funds to develop the school.
Mr James Adjei, the Headteacher said this at a capacity building workshop for SMC/PTA of QUIPS pilot schools at Begoro on Monday. Mr Agyei commended the SMC/PTA for their assistance to develop the school.
The PTA Chairman, Nana Kwabia Amanfi, said the association established the cocoa project as a long-term income-generating project instead of raising funds through individual contributions and school harvests.
Nana Amanfi commended the communal spirit of the people of Osino on the project.
