Accra, June 25, GNA - A three-day workshop on resource mobilization for staff and selected volunteers of the Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG), ended in Accra at the weekend.
The event aimed to enhance the capacity of the association, a non-governmental organization (NGO) on Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), to mobilize resources to sustain its projects, service provision centres and clinics nationwide.
Ms Shormeh Sai, a resource person from the African Regional Centre of International Planned Parenthood Federation, said most donor organizations now desired sustainable projects and how resources could be mobilized to continue those projects after the end of their funding.
She said most donors were also interested in projects, which had high participation of the local communities.
The Executive Director of PPAG, Dr Catherine Dawson-Amoah, said it was the vision of the association to provide quality services on SRH to its clients to reinforce the position of PPAG in reproductive health activities in the country.
