
Dr Kwadwo Afari-Gyan - EC Chairman President John Evans Atta Mills has appointed Mr. Sulley Amadu as the Deputy Chairman of the Electoral Commission following the compulsory retirement of Mr David Adenze Kanga.
Mr. Sulley Amadu, Director of Research, Monitoring and Evaluation of the commission assumes his new office effective May 2, 2012.
A statement signed by secretary to the President, J. K. Bebaako Mensah said Mr. Amadu's appointment was made by the President in consultation with the Council of State.
He replaces Mr.David Kanga who proceeded on compulsory retirement on April 29, 2012.
