Asante Kotoko Manager Maxwell Konadu has asked the club's faithful to shelve their celebration for the 22nd league title till the Porcupine Warriors win their last game.
'We can't say we are home and dry yet, until we win our last game,' Konadu told the sporting media after guiding Kotoko to defeat Mighty Jets 2-0 in Accra last Saturday.
Kotoko have recorded an impressive feat of losing just two from 25 games and with five games to draw the curtain down on the league, they appear the uncrowned winners.
But Konadu has revealed, 'Everything points to the fact that we have won, but that can be achieved unless we prevent Ashgold from scoring four nil and winning one of our last five games.'
Midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei and left back Gideon Baah scored in both halves to push the home side further down in the relegation zone.
Adjei opened the scoring eight minutes to the end of the game. Jets fought so hard thereafter to cancel the lead but goalkeeper Isaac Amoako denied them on many occasions.
Baah crowned his return to the pitch after close to two years from an injury he sustained in a Kotoko-Hearts clash in Kumasi with a brilliant goal.
The defender initiated an attack three minutes to the end of the game and later made good use of striker Ahmed Toure's pass to beat goalkeeper Kotei Blankson.
Kotoko face Arsenals in their next game at the Baba Yara Stadium and will travel to Kpando to play Lions.
They will return to their Baba Yara fortress to battle Bechem United before clashing with title contenders Ashgold at the Len Clay Stadium.
They will end the season by welcoming Tema Youth to the Garden City, Kumasi.
