
Tarkwa (W/R), Jan. 27, GNA - Kwasi Ansah, a 55-year-old driver, has been fined GH¢ 240 or in default 6 months imprisonment in hard labour for reckless driving by a Tarkwa Circuit Court.
He pleaded guilty.
Detective Chief Inspector Oscar Amponsah told the court that on November 26 last year the convictr was travelling from Accra to Tarkwa in a Chevrolet 3500 bus loaded with passengers.
He said on reaching the Nsueam, he knocked down one Bennett Ngoah who was then walking by the side of a stationary vehicle on the edge of the road.
Inspector Amponsah said the pedestrian who sustained various degrees of injures was rushed to the Nsueam Health Center and was referred to the Effia Nkwanta Hospital.
