
Nkawkaw Dec 30, GNA –Mr Seth Adjei Baah, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Nkawkaw, on Thursday organized a Christmas party for 1,500 children.
The children whose ages ranged between three to fifteen years were drawn from the Nkawkaw Township.
They were served rice and chicken and some soft drinks and entertained with cultural display and music.
Addressing the children, the MP advised them to be obedient to their parents and teachers and concentrate on their studies to become responsible adults to lead the nation in future.
He urged parents to take interest in their children's education and provide them with their educational needs to enhance their performance.
Mr Adjei Baah said the nation could not develop without education and called on the Government and other educational stakeholders to provide the needed teaching and learning materials to promote quality teaching and learning in schools.
The Presiding Member of the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly, Mr Kingsley Osei, said the assembly would provide the needed educational infrastructure in the basic schools to improve upon the standard of education in the Municipality.
