A new executive body of the Ghana Medical Association has been elected into office with Dr. Kwabena Poku-Adusei as the newly elected President of the Association.
He takes over from outgoing president Dr Emmanuel Adom-Winful.
Other executives include Sodzi Sodzi Tetteh as Vice President and Frank Siribuo as General Secretary.
The new executives were elected on Saturday during the GMA's 53rd Annual General Conference being held in Kumasi.
Luv Fm's Elton John Brobbey reports that a communiqué released by the body indicate that, among other things, the GMA is concerned about the increasing rate of carnage on the roads.
They are therefore calling on key stakeholders to ensure that the situation is brought under control.
