"Protest however you want but do not go unto the streets and squares." Quotes by Muammar Al-Khaddafi

Hatred, anger and imperialistic accusations made his own people even hate him. But no one dared to search or bring what was happening in libya to light. Are we to continue to cross the river by the wind other than the bridge?

I do hereby bring to you some of the achievements of Colonel Khaddaffi which puts shame on some African presidents and expose the imperialism of the world super countries who doesn't want Africa to be independent. I have gathered some of these from many sources which I will put at the end of the article for your references.

1. Electricity in Libya was free for everyone. "Were it not electricity, we would have to watch television in the dark." Quote by Muammar Khaddafi.

2. There was no interest on loans. Banks in Libya are stateowned and loans given to all its citizens at 0 interest by law. Now the NTC proposses free loans. Impossible-lie!

3. Home considered a human right in Libya. Gaddafi vowed that his parents would not get a house until everyone in Libya had a home. Gaddafis father has died while him, his wife and his mother are still living in a tent. When Colonel's house was seized, there were no traits of extravagance. He actually lived by his words.

4. All newly weds in Libya receive $60,000 Dinar (US$50,000) by the government to buy their first apartment so to help start up the family. Waooo...Encouraging family building independence after marriage. In parts of Africa today, people are not able to marry because of high cost in marriage.

5. Education and medical treatments are free in Libya. Before Gaddafi only 25% of Libyans were literate. Today the figure has risen to 83%. According to UN Developmental Programme in 2010, Libya occupied 5th in the Arab world for human development and 53 in global index.

6. Should Libyans want to take up farming career, they would receive farming land, a farming house, equipements, seeds and livestock to kickstart their farms all for free. Agricultural was a
major interest in the governance of Khaddafi. From Wikipedia you'll find out that:

"The total area of Libya is estimated at 1,760,000 km². Area suitable for cultivation approximates 22,000 km² of which 2,390 km² dedicated to irrigated agriculture, 15,500 km² to rain fed farming, and 140,000 km² of forest and range lands...Since 1977 families receive enough land to satisfy their personal requirements; this policy was designed to prevent large private sector farms and end using fertile "tribal" lands for grazing. " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agriculture_in_Libya

Libya has the largest irrigation system in the world which is made up of an underground pipeline networks. The project is owned by the Great Man-Made River Project Authority and funded by the Gaddafi government. Read more from here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Manmade_River

7. If Libyans cannot find the education or medical facilities they need in Libya, the government funds them to go abroad for it not only free but they get US$2,300/mth accommodation and car allowance.

8. In Libyan, if a Libyan buys a car, the government subsidized 50% of the price.

9. The price of petrol in Libya is $0.14 (N22) per litre 10. Libya has no external debt and its reserves amount to $150 billion now frozen globally. Ghana has exceeded his loan limit though the year is not ended! African leaders are walking helter skelter begging for loans.

11. If a Libyan is unable to get employment after graduation the state would pay the average salary of the profession as if he or she is employed until employment is found.

12. A portion of Libyan oil sale is, credited directly to the bank accounts of all Libyan citizens. Khaddafi in his life time stress the need for oil producing states to manage their own selling prizes of oil. But less attention was giving him. He strongly urged the oil producing states to use major parts of the oil revenue to develop their nations for the good of all.

13. A mother who gave birth to a child receive US$5,000. Khadaffi abolish Sharia law to protect the rights of women. Through out his 42 rule, we saw Khaddafi being guarded by women. He actually believed in women's emancipation and however made equal rights and justice for women. "A woman has the right to run for election, whether she's is male or female." LOL :D

"There must be a world revolution which puts an end to all materialistic conditions hindering woman from performing her natural role in life and driving her to carry out man's duty in order to be equal in rights." Quotes by Khaddafi. No wonder some women took up the streets to fight for him.

14. The African satelite was championed and sponsored by Khaddafi. The project was to cost $400,000,000 USD. Khaddafi alone sponsored $300,000,000 USD for the project to be lauched in 2007.

15. African Central Bank. This was Khaddafi's final project which he didn't live to witness. He wanted Africa to be independent without leaning on IMF. And he was able to do this in his own country by the construction of the Libya Central Bank which the international finaciers were not happy about it.

This is what mad Khaddafi did in Libya. How I would have wished to witness what he can do in his right mind. What was his accusations? MANY. HMMMMMM.....May the Lord open our eyes to see what the monkeys play in the jungle.
