Obinim Used Juju – Pastor

THE estranged pastor of the International God's Way Church, William Fobi whose wife, Gifty Pokuah, warmed the bed of the head pastor of the church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, says his wife was charmed by the Casanova priest.

'Bishop Obinim used 'juju' to charm my wife into his bed,' Pastor Fobih who has since left the church, has stated on a number of media outlets.

The young pastor claimed that his former boss was able to seduce his wife with the aid of evil powers.

According to the pastor, his wife had been following Obinim like a dog would its master, responding to his (Obinim's) every call without reasoning.

Sounding like a man defending his wife even in worst situations, he said he knows his wife to be a faithful woman who could not have an amorous affair with another man behind his back.

The young pastor, who sounded worried about revelations that Bishop Obinim had slept with his wife, intimated on Fox FM that his wife had stayed faithful to him ever since they married under the watchful eyes of Bishop Obinim.

He said it therefore surprised him when he learnt that Bishop Obinim had been cheating on him by sharing his wife with him as far as conjugal rights were concerned.

Pastor Fobih disclosed that 'on my wedding day, Bishop Daniel Obinim who had supported me with material things for the wedding to take place, wept bitterly during the joyous ceremony'.

He said during that period, he wrongly thought that Bishop Obinim's weeping was a sign of tears of joy for the two couple. Little did he know or suspect that his spiritual mentor had sinister motives.

'I have now realized that Bishop Obinim decided to weep on my wedding day where every one present was happy because he was having immoral affair with my wife behind my back.'

On his one-and-half-year-old baby girl who the embattled Bishop admitted cursing, Pastor Fobi said he believed that Obinim indeed invoked curses on the innocent child, making her a cripple.

He however said Obinim did curse the young and innocent girl immediately his wife gave birth and not recently as punishment for Pokuah as claimed by the Don Juan.

Pastor Fobih also said that contrary to what Obinim had been saying that his wife, Gifty, had never met him (Obinim) until the day he (Fobih) took her to greet him, he said Obinim lied as he took the lady's number in his presence, promising to contact her and pray for her.

Pastor Fobih said Obinim started playing the role of a 'killer' instead of a 'healer' and his wife unfortunately became a victim to the conman's pranks.

Fobih said his wife, one day, informed him that she had been sleeping with the bishop for a while but that she did not understand why she could not stop following him.

Fobih added that he never caught his wife and Obinim together but that she came confessing voluntarily.

About 3 months ago, he said, Obinim called Gifty on phone and asked her to meet him somewhere because he had something for her. When she went, the bishop slept with her even though she was menstruating and gave her GH¢1,000 and cornflakes.

She came home crying and showed me the gifts as evidence of her claims, Fobih said.

He said he wasn't surprised that Obinim had openly admitted he was behind the misfortune that had befallen his daughter who could not walk and had neurological disorders.

He was hopeful there were pastors in the country whose powers were genuinely from God and could heal the innocent girl.

As to whether he believed Bishop Obinim was a real man of God, Fobih declined comments, asking Ghanaians to judge for themselves.

Meanwhile, members of Obinim's church have said they stood by the pastor in his period of trial.

The God's Way Church (ICWC) congregation, during a church service held in Accra on Wednesday, affirmed their unwavering support for the embattled bishop, noting that he had only slipped but had not fallen.

An associate pastor at the church, Zakaria Prince, told the members that the most important thing was for their leader 'to rise from the sin he had fallen prey to as admonished by Jesus Christ.

'Though the bishop is suffering all kinds of humiliation from most of us humans, to God, our maker, his spiritual strength is being renewed by the tick of the clock for his genuine confession and onward spiritual soldiering…'

The congregation, Zakaria Prince said, kept saying, 'No shaking'.

Meanwhile, the lady at the centre of the sex scandal, Gifty Pokuah, is considering taking legal action against Obinim after he publicly claimed he cast a spell on her child.

But Ursula Owusu, Vice President of FIDA International, has said that a legal action would not lie in this case as the legal system only thrives on unequivocal evidence and not claims like Obinim's.
