The death is reported of Ernest Asubonteng-Frempong (also known as Nana Kofi) of Ahensan-Estate, Kumasi. Nana's sudden demise occurred at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi on Sunday, May 22, 2011. Nana Kofi was the son of the Late Kwame Asubonteng-Frempong, former Ashanti Regional Director of the Department of Community Development (DCD) and Mrs. Grace Osei Frempong, currently Headmistress of the DCD Vocational Institute at Sunyani.
The Late Ernest Asubonteng-Frempong was 40. He left behind a surviving widow, Joana Aryee Frempong and three children. Brothers and sisters include Dr. Eric Frempong Peprah (Moreland Surgery, Croyden, South London), Mrs. Elizabeth Adusei-Bonsu, aka Gifty (Registered Nurse, Ohio, USA), Kenneth Obeng-Boateng (Trader, Kumasi), William Owusu-Frempong (Ghana Electricity Corporation, Kumasi), Collins Baa-Frempong (VRA, Kpong), Hanns Frempong (UT Bank, Sunyani), Perpetual Frempong (Community Health Nurse, Abesim-Sunyani), Mabel Frempong-Boakye (Educationist, Accra) and Belinda Frempong (Student, KNUST).
Details of the funeral arrangements shall be announced later.
