Almost four years after rebranding from TradeNet to Esoko, the market information exchange service provider has formally launched its operations Ghana.
The launch, held at the company's new office premises on the Ring Road, attracted a large patronage including clients, the corporate community and media among other invited guests.
“Our goal is to demonstrate that targeted market information can not only dramatically change lives, but be a viable commercial business at the same time. Farmers are prepared to pay for the service simply because it has real and immediate value to them. Those are the results we're seeking,” Bernard Otabil, Managing Director of the Ghana Operations said.
Aside the main launch, the company is set to for a nationwide Roadshow in some 34 market centers.
Esoko is currently in 15 countries with different public and private partners in each. It is the first company to develop an agricultural commodity index which provides market trend analysis on both retail and wholesale commodity trading levels in Ghana. The Esoko Commodity Index is published on weekly basis in key media outlets.
