Koforidua, Nov. 16, GNA - A road construction and mining company, A. J. FANJ Construction Limited, on Monday donated an ambulance to the Eastern Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) to be given to any hospital in the region.
Aboude J. Fanji, Director of the company, who presented the keys of the vehicle to Mr Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, Eastern Regional Minister, said the company was determined to support government in its efforts to provide quality health care for Ghanaians.
Mr Ofosu-Ampofo expressed his appreciation to the company and stressed the importance of private participation in health delivery.
He expressed worry about numerous accident cases on the Suhum/ Kumasi road and said the presentation of the ambulance was timely to assist in transporting the injured to nearby hospitals.
Mr Ofosu-Ampofo assured the company of a fruitful co-operation from the RCC to form a strong partnership with it.
