The Chief of Grubi in the Krachi West Distinct, Nana Oboemang says the era where the role of the woman is perceived to be in the Kitchen is over. He said, the fact that women now occupy leadership positions is evidence of their efficiency.
Nana Oboemang made these remarks at the Annual Festival of the Chiefs and People of Grubi.
Nana Oboemang also appealed to the Ministry of Roads and Highways to construct the road linking the town to the lakeside and from there to the Northern Region.
The Krachi West District co-ordinator of Girl Child Education, Lydia Adede Ocansey, said indifference and negative attitude of parents and communities against girls is affecting their education and development and called for support for the education of the girl child.
The Queen mother of Krachi, Nana Ama Denkyiwa, urged men to support their female counterparts in providing quality education for children especially the girl child.
