Workers entreated to check social security statements

Lack of vital information about social security and end of service benefits is compelling most workers to make uninformed decisions on pension.

The National First Trustee of the Ghana Trade Union Congress, Santos Beyogle, said this at the Northern Regional Women's Conference of Public Service Workers Union of the TUC.

Participants expressed misgivings about their SSNIT contributions and problems faced after guaranteeing loans for students.

He advised them to request for their social security statements annually form SSNIT to rectify anomalies in their contributions.
