Accra, Nov. 1, ,GNA-Reverend Prince Yao Tefe, Synod Clerk of the Accra Presbytery of the Global Evangelical Church has called on people in leadership positions to show compassion as they make and implement policies to transform the lives of ordinary men and women.
He said leadership was about leading the masses to the promise land and was also about absorbing pains.
Rev. Tefe made the call at the consecration of 100 presbyters of the church in Accra on Saturday.
It was under the theme 'Faithful stewardship: Key to Divine blessing'.
Rev. Tefe said: 'Leadership is not about title, it is about helping the people to transform their lives' he said.
The Synod Clerk said leadership was very important in the life of every individual and it was only by the grace of God that one can occupy a leadership position
He advised the youth to refrain from acts which hinder national growth and development.
Rev. Hoenyeame Arise Kodjo Agbesinyale, Parish Pastor of the South La Global Evangelical Church, advised drivers to desist from driving under the influence of alcohol to save lives and property.
