Ghana striker Dominic Adiyiah has been declared the Best Player and Top Scorer at the Fifa U20 World Cup.
The Norway-based forward was handed the the Adidas Golden Ball and Golden Shoe award on Friday as the tournament ended in Egypt.
As Ghanasoccernet excusively revealed on Thursday night, Adiyiah and Ransford Osei were among the ten players being considered for the best player award.
But Osei failed to make the top three as Adiyiah edged out the Brazilian duo of Texeira and Giuliano.
This is a massive perosnal boost the Adiyiah, who only made little impact at the African youth Championship in Rwanda in January.
He picked himself up to score eight goals at the World Cup which made the world took notice.
Along with the Adiyiah's award, the Black Satellites will arrive in Accra on Saturday with the tournament's overall title.
