Accra, Sept 17, GNA - Tuesday, September 22 is not a public holiday, the Interior Ministry said on Thursday.
Madam Cecelia Pearl Agbezudor, a Secretary at the Office of the Interior Minister, told the GNA in an interview that only Monday, September 21 had been declared a holiday for both the celebration of Dr Kwame Nkrumah's birthday and the Eid-ul Fitr celebration.
She called on the general public to ignore all other pieces of information coming from both the media and the public to the effect that next Tuesday had also been officially declared a holiday.
Madam Agbezudor was reacting to numerous claims and counter claims on some radio stations in Accra stating that Tuesday September 22 was also a holiday in addition Monday, September 21.
