In accordance with Article 144(2) of the 1992 Constitution, on the advice of the Judicial Council and in consultation with the Council of State, President John Atta Mills has nominated three Justices of the Court of Appeal for the appointment to the Supreme Court.
This include Justice Benjamin Teiko Aryeetey, Justice Nasiru Sulemana Gbadegbe and Justice Vida Akoto-Bamfo .
This was contained in a statement issued to the Speaker of Parliament and presented on the floor of the House for the necessary consideration.
The following Justices will undergo vetting by the Appointment Committee of Parliament and be endorsed by the House.
