Tema, June 8, GNA – The Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) has recomposed its sub-committees with a call on assembly members not to take decisions based on their political affiliations.
The committees have not been functioning for the whole of this year as they were dissolved after the 2008 general elections.
The sub-committees which are made up of either seven or eight members each are education, revenue mobilization and development planning.
The rest are the sub-committees on works, social services, environmental sanitation and finance and administration.
Mr Robert Kempes Ofosuware, Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive, reminded the members to discharge their duties devoid of politics as assembly concept is non political.
Mr Ofosuware said the socio-economic development of the Tema metropolis depended on the work of the committees as they are the pivot of the assembly.
