Many visitors who go to Ghana are so surprised to see such a beautiful country with only a minority calling themselves as rich Ghanaian thus sending their children to the best schools in the world. My neighbours Mr & Mrs Russell Ellis from Liphook wanted to see where I come from in Ghana during their holidays. Well they visited one of the villages in the Agave District and what did they find concerning. They spotted school classes but they were under big trees in this modern day Ghana.
They were livid and horrified and prompted a big fund raising event when they got back to Liphook in Hampshire. The purpose of their fund raising was to renovate the leaking roofs, plaster classrooms, paint them and transform it to classrooms worth using by both teachers and pupils alike. Mrs Naa peace Cole of Yorve was instrumental in securing the new roofs whilst money raised was used to transforming the whole school.
Hang on a minute, but this is the country where the President felt a building a build new 21st century Presidential Palace would raise Ghana's profile in the international world. Surely educating school children in a purposeful environment should be a priority should it not?
Who is the President kidding though? Why should our President allow foreigners visitors who have paid to enjoy a trip in Ghana to be identifying our neglected priorities? Are objectives of the Government fit for purpose? We have a problem don't we?

Biulding schools is ok but schools cannot be renovated or built all over the country at the same time. They are being built step by step, Region by Region, village by village. Remember the P(NDC) ruled for nearly 20 years. Had building of schools been in their priorities, there would not have still been the need for your comment. By the way, which is better, building a Presidential Palace or buying private jets to be presented to an adventurous Rawlings? I hope you know what I am pointing at.
