BOYE IS FIGHTING FOR SURVIVAL Ghana international John Boye has revealed he would to sign a permanent deal with French Ligue 1 side Rennes at the end of the season.
The 22-year-old moved to the Route de Lorient this term on a one-year loan deal from a local side Heart of Lions.
He has since struggled to break into the first team set-up but has been impressing with the reserve side.
"The only thing I pray for now is that my loan deal turns into three years that all," Boye told Ghanasoccernet.com
"The players here some of them are in the France national and some have played in England so they call me and tell me to concentrate and do the job," he added.
"When they coach me that makes me very happy and that will help me to progress as a professional player."
Boye move to France was necesitated after compatriot John Mensah joined serial champions Olympique Lyonnais.
And he believes his senior colleague has left a big vacuum for him to fill at the backline of the Rennes.
"Yes,John is a good player and he has set the standard very high for me.But I do call him for advice and he has been encouraging me well.
"Asamoah Gyan is also here and I see them as my seniors so they are all helping me to survive."
