Holy Trinity Boss wins award

The Director-General of Holy Trinity Medical Centre, Dr. Felix Anyah has been awarded the prestigious 'Nelson Mandela Gold Award' together with twelve African leaders, for their excellent leadership and contributions to society.

The award was presented to them by the Pan-African Transparent Leadership Centre, an institution which recognises excellent leadership qualities around the globe.

Other recipients of the awards include Mr. Sampson Kwaku Boafo, Minister of Chieftaincy Affairs, Major Courage Quashigah (Rtd), Minister of Health (all of Ghana), Alhaji Aliyu Akwe Doma, Senator of Nasarawa State, Halima Tayo Alao, Minister of Environment, Housing and Urban Development and Mr. Olutayo Adrinokun, Managing Director of Guarantee Trust Bank Plc (all of Nigeria).

The rest are Mr. Kabiru Gaya, Senator of Kano State, Mrs. Grace Folashade Jackson Bent, Senator of Adamawa South, Mr. Michael Kaase Aondoakaa San, Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice of Nigeria, Mr. Omar Abubakar Hambagda, Senator of Borno State and Senator Abubakar Tanko Ayuba of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Two personalities from South Africa were also awarded. They include Dr. Alexander Mthumbo, and Mr. Mulle Ghenyi with Divson Bel, from Zimbabwe.

Presenting the awards to the recipients at a colourful ceremony in Accra, Mr. John Akperashi Gum, International Coordinator of the Pan-African Transparent Leadership, noted that his outfit identified leadership as one of the greatest and fundamental problems facing the continent.

“It, therefore, became imperative, and as a challenge, for this centre to drive leadership evaluation and assessment, with a view of identifying particular leaders that have offered noble and enduring leadership, which if emulated and consolidated upon, could see our continent emancipated and transformed in all facets,” he noted.
