50 years on & Ghana is still begging for loans & aid

50 years on Ghana is still begging for loans aid
29.08.2008 LISTEN

Why is Ghana so dependent on foreign aid and loans, the IMF etc?

Are these organisations the only venue of raising funds for the development of Ghana?

Don't we realise that is receiving such loans and aid we are effectively encouraging poverty on our people?

Why are Africa government so thick and allowing this chaos within our continent?

Ghana have all the natural resources it needs for a turnaround economy which could uplift its poverty status in the eyes of the developed world.

Yet Ghana chooses remain as a third world country and listen to the power dictatorship of the Western world.

Who is calling the shots here? Is it Ghana, one of the richest countries in West Africa, extremely rich in natural resources?

Or is it the Western society poor in natural resources but have the lips to articulate what they want from us all the time.

If Malaysia has turned their poverty of high unemployment, poor education, and poor infrastructure into cash cow.

What is Ghana actively doing to poverty?

How can we just sit there and see our youth cross the dangerous seas looking for just daily bread to survive the storms of life.

Why are our leaders so greedy and focusing on their needs and leaving children to perish in dilapidated classrooms?

How could our leaders leave mothers to die in child labour?

How could we leave our poor vulnerable old citizen to die unnatural death due to inability to pay their hospital bills?

How could we leave our youths to be carrying heavy luggage on their head to make ends meet?

Why are we deceiving our youth and robbing them to get free education?

Why do we allow our youth to be exploited as maidservants in our homes?

Why can't we stop increasing the slums in Ghana and emulate what president Gadaffi did in Libya by offering better accommodation to all its poor citizens!

Why do we suit there when the west is ensuring that we depend on them for our essential objectives?

Why do we go West when we want quality and quality assurance?

Why can't we also add value to our products from its production and rely on the West for quality products?

Why can't we gain control of all our lands and offer them cheap to foreign nationals?

Why can't we be smart and call the shots?
If Tunis, Malaysia, Morocco, are developing why can't we?

To date the new money is to be made right in Ghana and no where else.

Ghana needs good railway system, good roads everywhere and not just the cities but the rural areas.

We need effective and transparent infrastructure which acknowledging the concerns of the local people.

No more should we allow child labour in Ghana on our farms.
Education must be free up to vocational level or further education.

Every child in Ghana must gain recognisable have a qualification of a kind before they leave school age.

We need a system to give the authority to School Welfare officers who would perhaps inspect places where children are likely to work as child slaves

50 years afterwards, where would Ghana be in terms of its economic development from today?

When shall we all learn to appreciate what we have got in Ghana and build upon it with determination succeed against the odds?

Is it not about time we stand tall and be counted among others?

How could our President then reward himself as well as his cronies' gold medals when the actual mammoth task is yet to begin?

Is this right in the eyes of the ordinary Ghanaians?
When would Ghana have leaders with strategic vision to reshape Ghana 20 years from now on?

Who would tolerate the nonsense of borrowing after 50 yrs of dependency?

Why we still degrading ourselves status a continent of strategic importance as beggar nation?
Never again will Ghana go down in the history books as a beggar nation.

Never Never Never
