Tamale, June 23, GNA - Alhaji Yakubu Ayana, Executive Director of the Dolan Ayana Farms, on Monday donated items valued over GH¢ 3,000.00 to the Nyohini Children's Home in Tamale.
The items include toilet rolls, plastic buckets, chairs, baby beds, bed sheets, blankets and disinfectants.
Making the presentation Alhaji Ayana said he was touched by the plight of the children and decided to make the token donation as his contribution to their upkeep.
He urged other members of the society to feel some sympathy towards the orphans and contribute to their welfare.
Madam Augustine Quaino, Director of the Home, thanked Alhaji Ayana for the items and said they had come at the right time when the Home was lacking some basic facilities.
Alhaji Ayana also donated a community hearse valued over GH¢120.00 to the Nyohini Central Mosque.
Sheik Ibrahim Mohammed, Iman of the Nyohini Central Mosque, thanked Alhaji Ayana for the donation.
He urged other Muslims to emulate the example of Alhaji Ayana by donating generously to the welfare of Muslims and the cause of Islam.
