The Minister for Transport, Joseph Bukari Nikpe, has urged staff of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) to serve clients with courtesy, integrity and professionalism to ensure an improved experience for the public.
He made the call at the commissioning of the Authority's new office at Weija in the Greater Accra Region.
Mr Nikpe said the conduct of staff would play a key role in enhancing public confidence in the services provided by the Authority and encouraged them to uphold high standards of professionalism in their work.
The new facility was established to improve service delivery and bring DVLA services closer to residents in the area.
The office replaces the previous facility, which had become inadequate to meet the growing demand for services, resulting in overcrowding and inconvenience for clients.
The Minister commended the leadership and staff of the DVLA for their efforts to modernise the Authority's operations through technology, infrastructure expansion and improved efficiency.
He also reaffirmed the Ministry's commitment to supporting reforms aimed at strengthening road safety, accountability and law enforcement.
