Multiple award‑winning Ghanaian gospel artiste Minister Ike has launched a fierce attack on the government following the stricter enforcement and increased penalties against pastors who preach on moving public transport vehicles.
Speaking in an exclusive interview on Hot 93.9FM’s Hot Morning Drive hosted by Oman Nana, Minister Ike made sensational allegations, claiming the ban forms part of a hidden agenda linked to the upcoming national elections.
The gospel musician argued that prohibiting evangelism in commercial vehicles removes divine protection from passengers, leaving them vulnerable to fatal road accidents.
The Canada‑based artiste went further to suggest that the government intentionally instituted the ban so that road accidents would increase, allegedly providing blood for spiritual rituals to help retain political power.
“God’s work does not stay in one place… it can be preached anywhere, so how can they say God’s servants shouldn’t preach on vehicles?” Minister Ike questioned.
He added:
“So banning preaching on vehicles means the government doesn’t think about God… Preaching on vehicles prevents accidents. Anything without God, the enemy is there.”
When the host explicitly asked whether he believed the upcoming elections motivated the ban so that deaths from accidents could supply ritual blood, Minister Ike—who is set to release his new single Nyame Aseda featuring Great Ampong on Monday, October 19, 2026—responded plainly:
“Yes… It can be so.”

When will you people learn how to read to avoid embarrassment? The president hasn't banned preaching in vehicles. According to him, during the process, if the vehicle is about to move, the preacher must stop. First, for the preacher's own safety, so as not to fall when the brakes are applied, and second, for the driver to have good concentration to drive passengers safely.
