The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has strengthened its diplomatic relations with Japan, Germany, Italy, Thailand and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
This follows the presentation of Letters of Credence by the representatives of the five partners.
The documents were received by the President of the ECOWAS Commission, H.E. General Birame Diop, at a ceremony in Abuja on Wednesday, October 7.
The representatives were Hideo Suzuki of Japan, Stefan Rossel of Germany, Roberto Mengoni of Italy, Thirapath Mongkolnavin of Thailand, and Sharon Dimanche, Resident Representative of the IOM.
The ceremony was held at the ECOWAS Commission Headquarters as part of the diplomatic accreditation process.
