The Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has commissioned an ultra-modern multipurpose hall complex for the Forces Senior High Technical School at Burma Camp in Accra.

The facility, commissioned on Friday, is expected to provide additional infrastructure to support teaching and learning, as well as serve as a venue for conferences, academic programmes and dining.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Mr Iddrisu acknowledged the efforts of the Government and the leadership of the school towards improving the welfare and learning environment of students.

He recalled an earlier visit to the school with officials of the World Bank and expressed appreciation for the support received towards the development of the institution.

The Minister also commended the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) for its intervention in supporting the provision of educational infrastructure for the school.

He urged the students to take advantage of the improved facilities and remain committed to their studies, stressing the importance of academic excellence in preparing them for future leadership and professional responsibilities.

The Headmaster of the Forces Senior High Technical School, Lieutenant Colonel (Dr) Eric Sefa Boye, expressed appreciation to the Minister, GETFund and other stakeholders for their support towards the development of the school.

He said the new facility would enhance the school’s capacity to organise academic and other institutional activities, while also contributing to the welfare of students.

The Chief of the Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Godwin Livinus Bessing, teachers, students and other stakeholders attended the ceremony.
